Becosan® is a complete system for polishing concrete floors. It allows us to treat a large surface in a short period of time. The result is a stain resistant, dustproof, and durable polished floor.

Concrete floor polishing is a no-wax floor treatment. Becosan® is a non-film forming polished concrete floor treatment that enhances the strength of the concrete and protects the surface.

The Becosan® Process

Polished concrete floors are considered low-maintenance floors because they are more durable and easier to clean than many other flooring options.

Polished concrete is a sustainable and environmentally conscious flooring option. Due to the high reflect ability of the floor system it helps reduce the use of electricity, as less lighting is required.

Polished concrete helps to eliminate dust and allergen problems when used with the

Polished concrete flooring is very hard wearing and will not peel, chip or flake like
other surfaces such as epoxy coatings or painted floors.

Polished concrete is extremely cost effective. It typically only costs 1/3 of the price of epoxy.

Installation can be carried out without interfering with production. The process is completely dust free. The treatment consists of a 6-step polishing and grinding process that offers a variety of finishes and aggregate exposure.

Removing Micro-roughness

The 3 step grinding process removes the top layer of the concrete. The floor will become more dense providing a smooth surface where the dust particles will not settle. The grinding procedure will eliminate the micro-roughness of the concrete floor, and opens the pores of the surface.

Densification

Becosan’s densifiers and sealers use water-based lithium impregnators that penetrate the capillary structure of the floor and chemically bond the particles. This results in a hardwearing floor that will not delaminate.

Sealing The Pores

This step of the process is the application of the protective sealer. It is a water based chemical which penetrates into the concrete surface. This treatment is not a film forming coating and will protect industrial concrete floors for an extended amount of time.

Semi-gloss, High-gloss, and Matt plus finishes

Designated Finish

Following densification, the industrial concrete floor will become more compact and denser. This increases the durability of the surface. Three finishes are available: Semi-gloss, High-gloss, and Matt-plus.
